The visitor services associates will create a friendly environment while also overseeing ticketing, gallery experience and safety and security of both artworks and visitors. This is a part-time position and candidates must be available during weekends and some holidays. MAF will be open Thursday\u2013Friday, 11am\u20135pm, Saturday, 10am\u20136pm. Beginning March 1<sup>st<\/sup>, the foundation will be open Sunday, 11am-5pm. Please note that MAF closes for installation several times annually.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welcome visitors to MAF<\/li>\n<li>Verify tickets, check-in visitors and groups and help orient visitors within MAF<\/li>\n<li>Answer visitor questions about the collection, current exhibitions, the historic building and the location of artworks within MAF<\/li>\n<li>When needed, enforce rules that ensure the safety of visitors and also of the artworks on display<\/li>\n<li>Attend all required training, including developing an in-depth expertise on the MAF art collection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friendly, sociable and energetic<\/li>\n<li>Interested in contemporary art<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills; comfortable speaking to individuals and large groups (adults and children)<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in a client-facing capacity and\/or a cultural organization preferred<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer skills; comfortable using an iPad or Tablet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Must be comfortable standing the majority of their shift (with reasonable exceptions made for those with disabilities.)
