Sustainable Little Tokyo\u00a0has two Open Calls for paid art opportunities in Little Tokyo!\u00a0We\u00a0invite\u00a0artists\u00a0deeply rooted in Little Tokyo to submit two-dimensional plans, sketches\/drawings, images, or renderings as proposals for two art commissions that explores the past, present, and future of our community.<\/p>\n

DEADLINE: JANUARY 15, 2018.<\/p>\n


\n1) Little Tokyo Open: The Art of Mini-golf
\n$500 commission with up to $500 project budget
\nLT Open transform open space within the Little Tokyo district into a pop-up nine-hole miniature golf course. Each hole will be one\u00a0artists’ unique vision of Little Tokyo. The mini-golf course will temporarily take place on two consecutive weekends, April 14-15 and 21-22, 2018.<\/p>\n

2) Windows for Little Tokyo
\n$500 commission
\nLittle Tokyo becomes an outdoor art exhibition with 10-15 site-specific, two-dimensional artworks displayed on the windows of small businesses and institutions across the neighborhood. The artwork will be displayed from April 14\u2013October 13, 2018 (duration depends on each partnering site).<\/p>\n
