Venice Arts is an excellent place to build your skills and expand your knowledge in media arts, arts education, participant photography and filmmaking, and arts administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.venicearts.org\/\">VENICE ARTS <\/a>IS HIRING ARTIST-MENTOR CLASSROOM ASSISTANTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Artist Mentors assist the Teaching Artist in youth media arts workshops for ages 10\u201318. The ideal Artist-Mentor has experience in photography, filmmaking, animation, or visual art. Experience teaching or working with youth is preferred, but not required. This is a great way to gain teaching experience, and inspire young people to hone their craft.\u00a0 Artist-Mentor Interns will be trained by Venice Arts, and mentor in our youth programs. UCLA students who can commit through April 28, 2018 are preferred. The internship is typically a three hour\/week commitment.\u00a0 This is an unpaid internship, and Venice Arts will support students in arranging academic credit for their assignment.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>WORKSHOP STRUCTURE<\/strong><br \/>\nOur fall program runs Monday through Saturday from September 15 through April 28th, 2018 (UCLA student interns may join the program in October). Workshops meet once a week for 3 hours. Workshops are taught by a team of artists comprised of a Lead Artist with background and experience in education, who works collaboratively with Artist-Mentors.
