The qualified candidate will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>develop a greater understanding of School of the Arts and Architecture events, departments, programs, and faculty<\/li>\n<li>build their resume and gain skills applicable to working in non-profits and arts organizations<\/li>\n<li>and get a glimpse of the inner-workings of a dynamic communications department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compiling and formatting news coverage of the School and its faculty<\/li>\n<li>Formatting content and posts for social media, email marketing, website, and online calendar<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining an archive of student, alumni, and faculty accomplishments<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with special projects including School-related photo shoots, publications, films, and marketing campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with public relations research<\/li>\n<li>Assisting with media list building and maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Providing general administrative support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Punctuality and dependability<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Ability to learn new processes and programs quickly<\/li>\n<li>Availability to work 10 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and\/or interest in UCLA Arts community<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat preferred<\/li>\n<li>Ability\u00a0to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a part\u2010time\u00a0position\u00a0for\u00a0UCLA students with work-study awards.
