Dear MFA program director:<\/p>\n

Taleamor Park<\/a>\u00a0artist residency has an opening both in September and October, due to recent cancellations.\u00a0There is a simple online\u00a0application form<\/a>, and\u00a0applications are accepted so long as places are open.<\/p>\n

Located in an 1854 Italianate farmhouse on a scenic farm near Chicago and Lake Michigan, Taleamor Park artists’ residency offers two- and three-week residencies May through October.<\/p>\n

Residents live in a lovely\u00a01854 Italianate farmhouse<\/a><\/u>\u00a0that has\u00a0two\u00a0bathrooms,\u00a0two\u00a0kitchens, a laundry room,\u00a0two\u00a0common rooms, four private\u00a0air-conditioned bedrooms, a library, a writing nook, and a paper studio.<\/p>\n

Vintage outbuildings offer both private and spacious shared\u00a0studio spaces<\/a>. Verdant walking trails wind through fields of grain to woods and ponds and scenic vistas.<\/p>\n

2017\u2019s residents\u2014writers, visual artists, and musicians\u2014come from across the US as well as Canada, Hong Kong, the Ukraine, Australia, and South Korea.<\/p>\n

The Taleamor Park website includes comments from most of\u00a0Taleamor Park’s 2016 residents<\/a><\/u>\u00a0as well as links to their personal websites.<\/p>\n
