Not sure if the students are required to find an internship but this would be a great opportunity to hone their skills in sound and gain some solid experience.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholas C. Clarke<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:nicholasclarke@gmail.com\">nicholasclarke@gmail.com<\/a><br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<br \/>\n<strong>Title:<\/strong> SOUND TECHNICIAN<br \/>\n<strong>Responsible to:<\/strong> Creative Arts Pastor<br \/>\n<strong>Type: <\/strong>Unpaid Internship<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> Produce the best possible atmosphere for Sunday worship through sound reinforcement. This includes, but is not limited to, creating the best music mix possible, creating an audio mix that meets the mood the pastor\/worship leader wants to convey, and supporting the audio needs of the people involved with the church service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &#038; Skills Required:<\/strong><br \/>\n1.\tAble to work in a team setting and take directions.<br \/>\n2.\tEither has experience mixing audio successfully in a live environment or is currently attending training in sound and mixing field.<br \/>\n3.\tHave good communication skills.<br \/>\n4.\tAbility to think quickly and react\/trouble-shoot properly.<br \/>\n5.\tMaintain calm and collected attitude<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nLength of Service:<\/strong> 6 month minimum. If intern is interested in staying longer he\/she is welcome to upon discretion of Creative Arts Pastor<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time Required:<\/strong> 9am-12pm Sunday mornings. Occasional special services (Good Friday, Ash Wednesday, Etc.) <\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nPre-service<br \/>\n1.\tArrive promptly at 9am.<br \/>\n2.\tPerform proper sound check; includes gain settings, monitor mixes, proper volume settings, and the eq\/mixing process.<br \/>\n3.\tTrouble shoot reoccurring sound issues.<br \/>\n4.\tWork with Creative Arts Pastor to create ideal sound quality and meet band needs.<br \/>\nDuring Service<br \/>\n1.\tResponsible for adjusting sound levels during service as needed.<br \/>\n2.\tRun media slides as needed.<br \/>\n3.\tStay present and focused for duration of Service.<br \/>\n4.\tResponsible for recording the service.<br \/>\nPost-service<br \/>\n1.\tReport sound issues\/broken equipment to Creative Arts Pastor as needed<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I work at Santa Monica Nazarene Church and we are currently looking for someone to run our sound board.
