University Honors at the University of California, Riverside is proud to announce that submissions for our National Multidisciplinary Honors Journal, Audeamus, are now open. Deadline for submissions is November 30, 2019.
BACKGROUND: Audeamus is a national multidisciplinary journal that was started at University Honors, UC Riverside in 2007. The students chose to name the journal Audeamus, which means “Let us dare” in Latin, as it “dares” to publish an eclectic journal each year to showcase works of the highest merit, no matter what it is. From 2007-2018, Audeamus has published 14 journals filled with works of undergraduates across the country.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to submit, students are required to be a CURRENT undergraduate enrolled (full time or part-time) at a 2-year or 4-year college or institution of higher education. Students who have graduated (in the 2018-2019 academic year) from an eligible institution are eligible to apply for the 2019-2020 journal if they have, for example, a senior thesis paper/project they completed upon graduation and would like to submit this piece to the journal. Entries from students who graduated further back than the previous academic year are not accepted. Students that are chosen to be published will not only receive recognition in our nationally-recognized journal and a copy of the journal to add to their own personal libraries but have a chance at receiving one of four $200 Editor’s Awards we offer.
CATEGORIES: Categories include: (1) non/fiction; (2) poetry; (3) artwork/photography; (4) video/film; (5) research papers; and (6) other.
