Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program at LACMA – 2019 Summer Academy

LACMA is now accepting applications for the 2019 Mellon Summer Academy. Please apply by the application deadline of March 1, 2019.

The Andrew W. Mellon Summer Academy and Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship Program provides specialized training in the curatorial field to students across the United States from historically underrepresented groups in the curatorial field and support the goal of promoting inclusive, pluralistic museums.

The Mellon Summer Academy (starting mid-June) is a one-week program providing a rich experience in an art museum with:

  • A curatorial project
  • Workshops with museum professionals
  • Behind-the-scenes tours of exhibitions and permanent collection galleries with curators
  • Networking events with art museum professionals

After completing the Summer Academy, participants will submit supplemental materials for Fellowship consideration.
