We are pleased to announce that applications are open for the 2018-19 Undergraduate Internet Research Initiative (IRI) at UCLA. Up to 12 undergraduates from across campus (students from all majors are encouraged to apply) will receive $7,500 prizes each to pursue their research. Prizewinners will also receive space on campus and a dedicated mentor.
Recipients of the prize will be awarded for articulating their commitment toward a well-described research project that addresses some aspect of technology development, social trends or problems, ethics, and/or justice, as it contributes to the advancement of the future Internet.
The application process is quite simple. See the website (http://IRI.ucla.edu) for application information, including our research mission statement, and FAQ.
Applications are due March 20, 2018.
Any questions can be directed to iri@cs.ucla.edu.
