Taleamor Park artist residency has an opening

Dear MFA program director:

Taleamor Park artist residency has an opening both in September and October, due to recent cancellations. There is a simple online application form, and applications are accepted so long as places are open.

Located in an 1854 Italianate farmhouse on a scenic farm near Chicago and Lake Michigan, Taleamor Park artists’ residency offers two- and three-week residencies May through October.

Residents live in a lovely 1854 Italianate farmhouse that has two bathrooms, two kitchens, a laundry room, two common rooms, four private air-conditioned bedrooms, a library, a writing nook, and a paper studio.

Vintage outbuildings offer both private and spacious shared studio spaces. Verdant walking trails wind through fields of grain to woods and ponds and scenic vistas.

2017’s residents—writers, visual artists, and musicians—come from across the US as well as Canada, Hong Kong, the Ukraine, Australia, and South Korea.

The Taleamor Park website includes comments from most of Taleamor Park’s 2016 residents as well as links to their personal websites.

Please post this information wherever appropriate and share with faculty, students, and others who may be interested.

Thank you.
